Farmington & Stratford, CT; Medford, MA, August 2009 & October 2009 – McPhee recently joined an elite ranking of The Top 50 Electrical Contractors in the US put out each year by Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) Magazine. McPhee joins the 2009 list in the 29th place with 2008 reported revenue of $173M. Additionally, McPhee was also recognized in 116th place of the Engineering News Record’s (ENR) list of Top 600 Specialty Contractors. Rankings for both lists are based on self-reported results and data from the preceding fiscal year.

More Than $13,500 Raised for the 3rd Annual Jim Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride
SIMSBURY, CT, June 13, 2009 – The McPhee ‘Phree Wheelers’, lead by team captain Marcus McPhee, took to the streets of Simsbury and Granby for another successful ride raising in excess of $13,500 for this very worthy cause. The weather finally broke from what has been an extremely wet and dreary spring, to a beautiful, mostly sunny day in the 70’s for a perfect day of riding. The ‘Phree Wheelers’ were part of a group of more than 300 riders who took part in this year’s ride.

Commendation for safety performance as a leader among industry peers

McPhee Electric, Ltd. and its employees have been recognized for “Commendable Safety Performance” during the year from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. Twin 200MW Peaking Plants set to go on-line in 2010 and 2011 to help CT electric loads
Farmington, CT, April 20, 2009 – McPhee today announced that it had been awarded the electrical subcontract for the GenConn Energy Project from Constructor Barton Malow to build 200 megawatts (MW) of new peaking generation at NRG’s Devon site in Milford, CT followed by an additional 200 MW at NRG’s existing site in Middletown, CT. The new units will provide power to Connecticut homes and businesses during peak electric energy usage periods in the summer and winter months, and are expected to be online by June 2011.
